President Zardari’s visit to further strengthen Pak-Tajik relations: Ambassador Zubaydov

 

ISLAMABAD Aug 21 (APP): Zubaydullo N. Zubaydov, Tajik Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Pakistan said that visit of President Asif Ali Zardari to Tajikistan would further strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. Addressing a press conference here at Embassy of Tajikistan today, the ambassador said that both countries have deep historical roots. He said that people and government of Tajikistan give greater respect to their relations with Pakistan. He further said that during the difficult period of Tajic State building, Pakistan rendered and still rendering disinterested assistance and firmly supporting Tajikistan. He said in spite of the mutual cooperation both countries are strong supporters for each other in other forums like UN, OIC, ECO and SCO. The ambassador said that by holding 3rd Joint Ministerial Commission in July this year, ties between two countries are getting new impulses. He expressed hope for the commencement of CASA 100MW project which would be implemented by 2010. Central Asia South Asia (CASA) Power project would be providing power electricity to Pakistan by which energy crisis would better be dealt, he said. He also announced that the embassy would welcome Pakistani business and Tourist community to visit Tajikistan as it has lessen the restrictions to further enhance bilateral trade cooperation between the two countries.
